James White was admitted as a solicitor in 1981 and has worked as a solicitor in the Toowong area since 1983. Between 1989 and 1997 he was a partner in the successful legal firm Estwick & White.

In 1997 he established James White Lawyers, which operates out of the Toowong Legal Centre. Toowong Legal Centre provides commercial offices, clerical support services and shared legal resources to independent legal practitioners who specialise in specific areas of law.

James White predominantly practises in family law, criminal law, civil litigation and estate planning, with a special interest in mediation.
