James White LLM was admitted as a solicitor in 1981 and predominantly practises in family law, criminal law, civil litigation and estate administration including the preparation of wills and enduring powers of attorney.
Our firm specializes in Mediation. James White is a Queensland Law Society Specialist in Mediation Law. He is also an Nationally Accredited Mediator under the Australian National Mediator Accreditation System. He has a Masters of Law in Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution.
In respect to Family Law cases, James White is a Registered Family Dispute Resolution Provider able to issue 60l Certificates relating to parenting mediations.
In association with Paula Wigan Counselling we have established Successful Mediations. This is a mediation and counselling service to assist people resolve their disputes without the need to institute legal proceedings. See our link to Mediation Services.
Our firm is also moving towards Collaborative Law processes.

Counselling Services
Paula Wigan has also joined us. She has been appointed our inhouse counsellor. She has degrees from the University of Queensland in Arts and Queensland University of Technology in Social Work, Arts and Performing Arts.
She has been a family counsellor for over 18 years and is available for counselling sessions in the area of family breakdown and post traumatic stress.
Our Fees
We charge a fixed fee for a first one hour consultation of $220.00 incl of GST.
During the first consultation we will provide an estimate of the legal costs associated with your matter.
